High time resolution PM2.5 automatic sampler

Project Background:

The customer has a set of thermal desorption instrument TD, automatic sample injection robotic arm, and GC/MS for the analysis of chemical molecular components of atmospheric organic aerosols.

Challenges faced by customers:

  • Traditional sampling filters are not compatible with TD quartz glass tubes.

  • The traditional filter membrane sampling is a sample every 24 hours, while some components of atmospheric organic aerosol are highly active and have a life span of only a few hours. Therefore, the traditional 24-hour resolution samples cannot capture the time trend of pollution sources or atmospheric oxidation processes.

 

EIPROTECH's solution:

We have designed and manufactured a high time resolution PM2.5 automatic sampler for our customer, and the designed sampling system is compatible with TD.

Program features:

  • Unattended filter membrane modules can be replaced automatically, which can accommodate up to 24 filter membranes at a time, with little maintenance

  • High resolution of sample collection time, one sample in 1 hour or less

  • Automated operating system, easy to operate
